About My Soulful Therapy
My name is Luani and I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Life can be challenging at times. You do not have to navigate it alone. I am here to provide a calm confidential space for you to talk about whatever matters most to you. As a person-centred psychotherapist, I offer a safe and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experience at your own pace. We will work together to help you to access your own insights and strengths so that you can move forward with greater clarity and understanding.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapyand adhere to their professional and ethical standards.
I work with a wide range of concerns including stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, feelings of overwhelm, life transition, bereavement and trauma. I work with adults and young people from age 16 and have worked with clients from all walks of life. My practice is grounded in empathy, acceptance and genuineness, a place where you can feel heard, understood and respected. My aim is to support your process of self-exploration, self-awareness and personal growth in a way that feels safe and authentic to you. I will help you to find tools and techniques to use in order to cope better and move forward with your life. These tools and techniques can be used for the rest of your life. There is no script, no agenda. Just a genuine, caring presence and a commitment to your wellbeing
Currently, I volunteer as a counsellor with Number 22 and I manage a team of school counsellors as well as running a private practice. I offer long and short term counselling both in-person and online.

Common Questions
Taking the first step can feel daunting. Here are some questions that often come up before we begin.
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed or simply curious about understanding yourself better, therapy can help. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit - many people come simply because they want a calm, supportive space to explore life. The free consultation is a no-pressure way to find out if we are a good fit for each other.
Your first session is a gentle, unhurried conversation. There is no pressure to share everything at once — we take time to get to know each other, talk about what is brought you to therapy and explore what you would like to work towards. There are no right or wrong answers and everything shared is completely confidential.
Counselling sessions normally last 50 to 60 minutes for face to face and online. Even if you are late, the appointment must end on time. If you are delayed, however, I still suggest that you attend your appointment. Sessions are usually held once a week. Payments are taken by bank transfer. Payment is taken 48 hours in advance of your booked session.
Yes — I offer both in-person and online therapy via a secure, private video platform. Many clients find online sessions just as meaningful as face-to-face, with the added comfort of being in their own environment. Whichever works best for you, we can make it work.
Sessions cost £60 per hour.
Yes. Please call me and I will contact you within 24 hrs to reschedule to a mutually convenient time. Please note that cancelling an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a full session fee.
Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work together. Everything shared in sessions is kept strictly private. The only exceptions are very rare circumstances where there may be a risk of serious harm — these are explained fully in our initial agreement and I will always discuss them with you openly and honestly.
When you need to talk to someone in between sessions, you can either make an earlier appointment with me or look at the Useful Links page for other services that may be able to help you.
